NORMAN, Okla. – Officials of the Compliance Solutions Championship announced today the details surrounding the tournament’s Junior Clinic on Saturday June 22, 2024, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The inaugural event will be held on the range at Jimmie Austin Golf Club and feature hands-on learning and activities with Korn Ferry Tour professionals, utilizing targets and stations for chipping, putting and full-swing instruction. Kids are invited to attend this free event open to the public. Pre-registrations is not required and clubs will be provided.
“Not only can fans come watch the next stars of the PGA TOUR compete, but we are excited to offer this engaging opportunity for our young fans to learn some swing tips and be introduced to the game of golf,” Lucas Fox, Tournament Director, said.
Families are encouraged to stick around following the Junior Clinic for the tournament’s marquee event, the Compliance Solutions Championship Celebrity Shootout. The special event will be contested over a multiple hole team scramble, match-play format, all to benefit the tournament’s two primary beneficiaries: AutismOklahoma and Folds of Honor.
The celebrity lineup will feature golf’s greatest champion Jack Nicklaus, alongside Oklahoma legends that include an Oklahoma State University team comprised of basketball’s Doug Gottlieb and Desmond Mason with baseball’s Robin Ventura and a University of Oklahoma team featuring football’s Dusty Dvoracek, Curtis Lofton and Teddy Lehman.
In additional news, kids 18 and under receive free general admission with a ticketed adult to the Compliance Solutions Championship. And new this year, college students will receive one free general admission ticket with a valid student ID.
The tournament is open to spectators from Thursday (June 20) to Sunday (June 23). Tickets for the official Korn Ferry Tour event’s second playing start at just $10 and several ticket options are available, including daily and weekly grounds tickets, and 18th hole hospitality.
